Each piece originates from one of five research workshops, each centred around a distinct theme. These themes have been thoughtfully reorganised and interconnected to provide a clearer narrative of the youths' choices and their often suppressed voices throughout their migration journeys. In response to the theme of repressed voices, the exhibition also includes an interactive component, inviting visitors to respond to the stories shared by these immigrant youths.
During the workshops, Hayes and the participants developed a strong bond, and he views this exhibition as a commitment to sharing their stories. It also serves as a valuable contribution to the ongoing archive of the Hong Kong migration wave.
