Publications
The publication collection comprises three items: the Immigration Guidebook, a Memory Luggage, and an Envelope. The Guidebook is a 76-page hand-bound publication, co-authored by Hayes, Chris, and nine young Hong Kong immigrants. It serves as a comprehensive record of the illustration workshop, providing educators, researchers, parents, and other immigrant youths with a deeper understanding of immigration. Each Memory Luggage contains a unique 3D scene reconstructing a youth's immigrant memory, rebuilt by Hayes. The Envelope includes letters written by immigrant youths, as well as blank letters inviting others to respond. The overarching goal is to gradually build an online immigrant archive that features all participating immigrants' drawings, letters, and dialogues, alongside the research that supports this project.
